Introduction

My name is Sergio, and I have always been captivated by the beauty and rich history of Veneto, Italy. My first visit to this region was as on my honeymoon, and it was a trip that I will never forget. From the moment I stepped onto the cobblestone streets of Venice and looked up at the stunning architecture, I knew then that Veneto would hold a special place in my heart forever.  Trips that followed with family and friends make the Veneto region, including Venice, all the more special to me. I will try to share some of that magic with you today.

Veneto, Italy, is a region with a rich history and breathtaking beauty. From the iconic city of Venice to the rolling hills dotted with vineyards, Veneto is a visual feast for the senses. It’s a region that truly embodies the phrase “where history meets beauty.”

Whether you’re a fan of history or just looking for a glimpse into the past, the Battle of the Dolomites is a must-see.  Over 500,000 died in this battle.  I hiked this tunnel a few years ago with a group of dear friends.  It is hard to imagine that tunneling under the enemy and blowing up a mountain was a good idea.

  2. Ok Ok, I’ll go to Veneto soon, you definitely convinced me and everybody. I would like to mention Padova (Padua), the oldest university (with Bologna) in the world and the lakes. Would you be my tour guide?

  3. We visited Venice many years ago right after their Mardi Gras. It was a perfect time to tour and get around since the big crowds had already left. So much history in this area.
